The second solo project created by one half of The Starving Artists. Escher’s ‘subliminal genius’ was an alias created after enduring life in the working class. Receiving paychecks instead of grades forced The Starving Artists’ MC Escher to reevaluate his ideas about the world he lived in. This LP showcases a wide range of styles, and documents different points in Escher’s life over the past decade.
The album displays battles with excessive partying, love, and a spiritual awakening. Written, produced, and performed by Escher throughout a Providence, RI neighborhood called Oakland Zoo, this album picks up where “3” left off and finishes with an optimistic view of what is yet to come.
Several guest MCs commited to a few collaboration tracks. Various musicians also supplied equiptment such as guitars, keyboards, and effects pedals. Even though a solo album, many people dedicated their time in creating the final product.
Guitars on 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10 written/performed by MC Escher.

Fresh for the roads, DJ’s, fans, affiliates, familes, and friends of The Starving Artists! Michelangelo presents Everything Else: The Most Creative Mixtape Ever! A stark look at a neo pop revolution. Ten tracks of diverse beats, diverse topics, and diverse styles. Completely crafted to captivate minds, entertain, and inspire. This mix is a look into the lifestyle of Michelangelo. All tracks are dug out of his own personal collection of cds, dvds, and video games. Wu Tang, State Property, Rope-a-Dope records, The Strokes, Blur, Red Dead Revolver, Red Dwarf, Radiohead, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Oasis provide the backdrop for a new straight forward, well articulated, and humorous lyrical style. No punches are pulled from start to finish. This is the Illmatic of mixtapes. Written and mixed in under two months, this cd was designed to promote the first full length studio album The Starving Artists will release. Michelangelos’ Nothing. Stay Tuned to On The Road Radio for more info.

The third official release from The Starving Artists camp can mainly be credited to MC Escher. It’s basically a solo album co hosted by Michelangelo and boasts enormous jumps in production value, song length, entertainment, and overall quality. This album came together almost without effort. Most of the lyrics were written in class, the beats were made while intoxicated. A suprise studio visit from fugitive Leo Da Illy capped off the album nicely. It seemed like before work even really began, it was finished, packaged, and distributed throughout south eastern Pennsylvania, New England, Colorado, and various countries around the world.
3 simply is what it is. A final instalment in a trilogy of albums. An example of progression. Another look into the mind of The Starving Artists.

The first solo project created by one half of The Starving Artists. Michelangelos’ CHIZZLE was an alias created after enduring life in the working class. Receiving paychecks instead of grades forced The Starving Artists’ Michelangelo to reevaluate his ideas about the world he lived in. Production began after being laid off during the 2001 holiday season. This EP basically documents the events from November 26th 2001 through June 6th 2002.
A chronological tracklisting displays battles with excessive partying, love, and a religious awakening. Written, produced, and performed by CHIZZLE throughout a Philadelphia neighborhood called East Falls, this album picks up where Artlife left off and finishes with an optimistic view of what is yet to come.
Several guest producers commited to a collaboration track along with friends who apperaed in small dialouge and instrumentation cameos. Various musicians also supplied equiptment such as guitars, keyboards, and effects pedals. Photographers also lended their eye to help create an elaborate CD packaging. Even though a solo album, many people dedicated their time in creating the final product.
During this creation process CHIZZLE also began working with a rock and roll band called Downtown Harvest under yet another alias MC Key. After performing and selling copies of the album Michelangelo began his life on the road and moved to Edwards Colorado leaving behind a deeply personal album, friends, family, and music all together. The CHIZZLE persona recorded his last song, “CHIZZLE CHRISTMAS” on December 24th 2002. (not for profit)

The origins of this album stem back to a time before the world as covered in the media changed due to a terroristic attack on American soil. Two young artists discovering an ability to create music in a Conshohocken, Pennsylvania basement. One mad, one logical. An idea that a medium wasn’t necessary to present art rather that art was to be lived and breathed daily. Artlife.
This album though abstract at times represents the ups and downs of the world. A mad photography student and a logical graphic design major joined forces. As MC Escher designed sonic landscapes from his fathers records, his own video games, movies, and various break beats; Michelangelo wrote subconscious, confusing, yet detailed lyrics about life which even he would not yet grasp.
An earlier recording previewed a few tracks that would end up on Artlife. Barely circulated it still managed to grab attention of passers by in concert parking lots and ended up being one of Michelangelos’ final school projects. (due to the photography in the accompanying CD case) It was titled “The Fundamentals of Something: Old School.” Only the best track was to be ommited from Artlife.
In the end two versions were created. The second version offered inverted cover art and a reverse track listing called “ALTLIFE: The meaning of Artlife.” Neither were intended to be sold. They were created simply for the interest in hip hop music and the reward of self expression.
Artlife created the formula which is followed through all The Starving Artists’ works.
